Can you use any ordinary ink cartidge with a Waterman fountain pen?

Recently I purchased this fountain pen for my sister's graduation

can I use any ordinary ink cartridge from a stationery shop or do I have to purchase a specific type?|||I beleive that pen can use "international" cartridges...they're kind of like universal...

From the website...

鈥aterman standard ink cartridges will fit any pen that accepts the larger international cartridge.

鈥aterman fountain pens accept these standard cartridges

Why not email the company? Worth a shot...you've spent some money with them, if they have any interest in customer service then I'm sure they'll reply.|||I think they use their own type of cartridge , if it s an expensive pen

I just read an article about how someone tried to fit another cartridge into the pen and now it's stuck and the pen is no good now because he can't get the cartridge out and it won't write. So now I know the answer is yes, they are a special one they use.
