What are good brands for writing pens?

I am looking to get a nice writting pen for my BF, I have looked at Monte Blanc and they are just to expensive... I was looking for anything under $200. I have looked at Waterman pens as well, are those well known, are they any good?|||Waterman is very good another possibility is Cross, they make several nice pens in the under $200 price range.|||They ae excellent and they have been around for over a hundred years.
