There are some characters I don't recall reading about or seeing in the movie "Into The Wild" Help me?

I need to make a scrapbook/journal as if we were alex supertramp.


Its asking us to refer to certain characters and explain "alex's" view on them and how they compare to other people. But it has two that i don't remember,


-Everette Ruess


and


-John Waterman





I returned my book already and the movie didn't say anything about them.


Can you please explain to me who they were in the story??|||Do you remember that chapter talking about Chris in the dessert and the Author talking about a boy who did a similar thing? That was Everette Ruess.





He disappeared on a similar adventure in the same place Chris traveled. You could just google him, he is fairly well known.





John Waterman was another guy Krauker compared to Chris. Basically a guy who I think was the first to climb some mountain in America and was celebrated for it. Then he began doing some batshit crazy stuff like wearing a cape. He checked himself into a psych ward for a small amount of time before taking off again into the wilderness never to be seen again.





Another person who had a fair bit of information on him on the net.
