and why? do you have any favourite or least favourite songs that they have produced throughout the years. otherwise known as pete waterman limited, hence the initials, PWL|||They brought us Kylie, so that makes them pop saints to me. Some of their work with Bananarama was also fantastic, but songs like "I'd Rather Jack Than Fleetwood Mac" were pretty naff. But what song writers have a catalogue of all great songs. People say a lot of their stuff sounded the same and it did, but so did Holland Dozier and Holland and they were pop genius too.|||pop tarts|||Saints! Absolute saints! Just because you are not a genius does not mean you cannot be a saint!
My favourite: You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round round round.|||poop singers.,|||POP SAINTS ! Reason - Kylie Minogue|||they brought us a ginger haired tw*t called Rick Astley.... says it all as far as I`m concerned.|||I love cheesy pop music, and they did some fantastic records with Dead Or Alive, and Kylie|||They killed pop music individuality.
Before then you may not have liked it but at least the tunes were different.
I curse them. (And I curse the sheep that bought their records.)|||Most of their stuff was utter carp but some of it was very good. Much like other people in the music business they didn't always get it right.
On the whole I'd say neither saint nor sinner|||Waterman lives in my home town, as does Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud!|||Sonia.Big Fun. BLEURGH.|||Say what you like about them but they sold records. I personally hate everything they ever did but they gave artists like Kylie and Rick Astley a start and maybe without that they wouldn't be where they are today.
I do think Pete Waterman is a toucher of other men's bottoms and have an overhelming desire to punch him when he's on tv.
However, I love Kylie and I've worked with Rick Astley and have much respect for him.
Merry Christmas|||Utter utter bastards. They ruined my adolescence with their cheese and forced me into listening to indie miserabilists like the Smiths and the Cure and wearing a cardigan. It's all their fault. I still dislike cheery, jaunty tunes today, some kind of deep seated trauma caused by seeing Timmy Mallet singing and getting to number 1 in the charts I'm sure.|||Like all genres of music some people like them some don't!!They brought allot of pleasure for some people and pain for others!!So if just 1 person liked the kind of music they produced then they did good! I personally took their kind of music for what is was bubble gum pop some catchy songs but it never inspired me to purchase any of that music but hey lots of people did! So if they made some people happy why not call them pop saints!
